Hello all,
I'm not quite sure where to begin so I suppose I'll begin from the middle and work my way outward. My name is Jerry Kilpatrick. I've worked at two different companies along side Michael. If you'll excuse the informality I'll be referring to him as 'Cribbins' from now on as that is how I knew him best.
We lost touch when a part of the company we worked for split and he went with the part that split off. I only heard from him a few times since then and had no good way of getting in touch with him. I was surprised however when one of my bosses sent out the word that there had been a fatal car accident and Cribbins was involved.
For those of you reading that are equally shocked this is a
link to his obituary as well as a
a link to the story

Story
The driver of a vehicle involved in a fatal traffic crash early Sunday morning on Highway 38 about six miles west of Elkton remains in critical condition early Monday morning at a Eugene-area hospital. The passenger victim's name is being released now that he has been positively identified and next of kin notification completed.
On August 26, 2007 at approximately 3:50 a.m. a 2003 Dodge Dakota pickup driven by STEVEN ROY GORDON, age 29, from Drain, was eastbound on Highway 38 near milepost 28 rounding a slight right curve when, for unknown reasons, it drifted onto the right shoulder. The pickup drove about 140 feet before going down an embankment where the passenger compartment impacted several trees.
GORDON was critically injured and transported to Sacred Heart Hospital.
The passenger identified as MICHAEL RAY CRIBBINS, age 33, from Yoncalla, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He was using safety restraints.

As many of us here at my place of work considered Cribbins a friend we were all surprised to see that he had been divorced. Though I only met his ex-wife once I would like to send my condolences to her and their children. I'd also like to send out my condolences to the rest of his family that I never got a chance to meet.
Among many things about Cribbins, his sense of humor was the one factor that I truly loved about him. He had the same perverse sense of humor that I had so we often laughed at the stupidest stuff that no one else found remotely funny.
What I would like are for anyone who has a story about Michael to send me the story to
michael_memorial@cribbins.net. I ask that you add the word 'Cribbins' to the subject line so I am sure not to lose it among the spam I get. I would like more pictures than the one I had to steal from his myspace page and would love fun stories to put up about him.
This is kind of my way of saying goodbye and I hope it does not offend any of the family. I had to wait months to snag cribbins.net which had previously been owned by Michael so I could keep his legacy going. I hope to hear from anyone who has any stories to tell.
Take care all! I know in my heart he is in a good place now...
